The Scrum Master is a key servant-leader and facilitator supporting 2-3 Agile delivery teams within a large-scale SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. This role is responsible for fostering an environment of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that Agile principles are understood and effectively applied to achieve successful, predictable delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coach and guide Agile teams in Scrum best practices, ceremonies, and mindset, ensuring delivery teams meet the Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD) both in form and intent.
Facilitate and actively manage Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Partner with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and remove impediments.
Track and manage team capacity, velocity trends, burndown charts, and delivery performance to support data-driven planning and retrospectives.
Proactively identify process bottlenecks and areas for improvement, driving continuous delivery optimization.
Collaborate closely with partner IT groups (e.g., infrastructure, QA, architecture) to coordinate inter-team dependencies and optimize integration schedules.
Maintain and configure Azure DevOps boards, dashboards, and PI planning tools; manage team and Program Increment (PI) boards, and ensure accurate, transparent reporting through ADO Wiki documentation.
Ensure compliance with SAFe principles and contribute to overall Agile maturity across the ART (Agile Release Train).
Support organizational goals for predictability, quality, and velocity by fostering high-performing, empowered teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master managing multiple Agile teams in complex enterprise environments.
Proven experience operating effectively within a SAFe Agile Release Train.
Current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and SAFe Agilist (SA) certifications required.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including managing metrics dashboards, work item tracking, and process documentation.
Strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; adept at managing relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and modern communication tools (Teams, Outlook, etc.).
100% on-site position in Plano/Parkwood — no remote work option.
