Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: M34, Manchester

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM (30-minute dinner break)

Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Reeson Education is recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and community-focused primary school in the M34 area of Manchester. This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role starting in September, supporting a lively and engaging Key Stage 2 class.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide both general classroom support and targeted help for pupils with SEN within the class. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is positive, patient, and confident in supporting a range of learning needs.

Key responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
* Provide in-class support across all core subjects as a Teaching Assistant
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with SEN
* Adapt tasks and resources to meet diverse learning needs
* Promote inclusion, engagement, and wellbeing as a Teaching Assistant
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to track pupil progress
* Support with transitions, classroom routines, and behaviour management
* Use strategies to help with emotional regulation as a Teaching Assistant
* Maintain high expectations for learning and participation
* Communicate positively with colleagues and pupils
* Be a calm, proactive, and committed Teaching Assistant every day

This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who:
* Has experience working in Key Stage 2 or primary classrooms
* Is confident supporting children with SEN in a mainstream setting
* Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Wants to work full-time, long-term from September
* Lives locally or can commute easily to the M34 area
