Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper Needed in Melville, NY

Position: Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper

Location: Melville​​​​​​, NY

Compensation: $28/hour, 40 hours per week

Benefits:

About the Family:

A warm and welcoming family of four is seeking an active live-in Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household as they transition from an au pair arrangement. They have two active boys, ages 11 and 5, who love to keep busy with games, sports, and outdoor play. The family is looking for someone dependable, good-natured, and flexible to become a steady part of their home. They are looking for full childcare and housekeeping duties.

Schedule & Hours:

• Core schedule: Monday – Friday
• 40 hours per week
• Morning shift: 6:30am – 8:30am (school prep and drop-off)
• Afternoon/evening shift: 3:15pm – 8:00pm (school pick-up, activities, dinner, bedtime routines)
• Occasional flexibility on weekends when the father’s schedule requires support
• About 5 hours per week dedicated to housekeeping

​​​​​​Childcare Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care for two school-aged boys before and after school
• Prepare children for school in the mornings and help with bedtime routines in the evenings
• Transport children to and from school and their afternoon activities (car provided)
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children
• Assist with homework and encourage learning
• Engage the children in active play, games, and outdoor activities to balance screen time
• Supervise and care for children when home from school due to illness or holidays

Household Responsibilities:

• Household laundry and organization
• Grocery shopping and meal-related errands
• Ceaning, tidying, and dishes
• Taking out trash and recycling
• General household support as needed
• Approximately 5 hours per week dedicated to housekeeping tasks

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a nanny/housekeeper
• Experience with school-aged children and ability to keep up with active kids
• Valid driver’s license (extra car provided for use)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Dependable, responsible, and good-natured personality
• Flexible and willing to adjust schedule when needed
• Ability to run and play with children.
