Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet, contributing to our commitment to safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections and diagnostics. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, air brakes, and suspension components. Utilize schematics to understand mechanical systems and identify issues effectively. Conduct automotive repairs as needed, ensuring all work meets industry standards. Operate forklifts safely to move equipment and materials as required. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engine repair. Proficiency in hydraulics and the ability to diagnose hydraulic system issues. Experience with automotive repair techniques and practices. Familiarity with schematics for effective troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Ability to weld and perform minor fabrication tasks as needed. Knowledge of air brake systems and suspension mechanics. Forklift operation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
