Primary Responsibilities

  • Partners with business teams to gain a thorough understanding of data requirements and expertly navigates complex datasets to define data relationships and lineage
  • Conduct deep analysis of data sources and the data/system landscape related to medical claims and adjacent member, clinical, or financial domains
  • Provides expert data quality and data review services, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of UHC's integrated healthcare data warehouse, reports, and analytical solutions
  • Strategically develops and executes end-to-end data quality testing, crafting comprehensive test scenarios and testing strategies
  • Architects, develops, and implements scalable automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
  • Analyzes test results with a focus on business impact and established quality standards, identifying critical issues and recommending effective solutions
  • Leverages analytical skills to proactively identify data anomalies and defects, performing in-depth root cause analysis to improve overall data quality
  • Conducts thorough data quality audits, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA
  • Designs, develops, and implements cutting-edge automated testing frameworks and solutions, adhering to enterprise standards and operational best practices
  • Articulates technical data quality findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including customers and leadership
  • Transforms intricate data quality concepts into easily understandable and actionable insights
  • Mentors and guides junior quality analysts, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data analysis / quality assurance / reporting experience of full-time work experience outside of educational/studies
  • Experience and ability to work well in fast-paced environment
  • Snowflake Testing Experience
  • Experience with Snowflake or Azure cloud data warehouse technologies
  • Experience in designing, developing and executing automated test scripts for data validation and quality assurance
  • Statistical analysis experience
  • Familiar with data movement processes, ETL development lifecycle methodologies
  • Proficient in SQL with a solid understanding of complex queries, SQL Joins, subqueries and ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot complex SQL code.
  • Intermediate or advanced SQL skills (Snowflake ,Oracle / SQL Server / ANSI SQL)
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry / data experience (claims / clinical / calls outreach data)
  • Tableau , Power BI and/or data visualization experience
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Experience with Python, Devops, CI/CD tools, Git, Especially in cloud environments
  • Familiar with data warehouse concepts
  • Basic understanding of data science concepts and their use in solutions
  • Proficiency in developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory across Azure and hybrid cloud ecosystems.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
