Metro-South Protective Service will be hosting an open house starting tomorrow Oct 15th 2024 from 2pm - 5pm.

We seek Unarmed and Armed security patrol officer to join our 16 person strong team. Our Substation is located on 21401 San Simeon Way Miami Fl 33179 @ Mila Luxury Apartments.

Our ideal candidate needs to be attentive, motivated, special to detail and reliable .

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed/Armed Security Officer to join our team in ensuring the safety and security of our residential community. The Unarmed Security Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment

Providing a visible presence

Responding promptly to any security-related incidents.

This position is unarmed but requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various situations with tact and diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct routine patrols of the residential community to ensure the security and safety of residents, property, and assets. Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activities.
2. Access Control: Manage access points to the community, verifying the identity of residents, guests, and vendors. Enforce community access policies and procedures.
3. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, including but not limited to medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of residents.
4. Incident Reporting: Accurately document all incidents, disturbances, and suspicious activities. Prepare detailed incident reports for further investigation or legal purposes.
5. Customer Service: Interact professionally with residents, guests, and vendors. Provide assistance and information as needed, fostering positive relationships within the community.
6. Communication: Maintain effective communication with fellow security personnel, management, and emergency services. Relay information clearly and concisely via radio, phone, or written reports.
7. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and disputes calmly and diplomatically. Intervene in situations that may escalate, using verbal de-escalation techniques to defuse tensions.
8. Training and Compliance: Stay updated on security protocols, procedures, and community policies. Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Drivers License.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred.
• Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus.
• State-mandated security officer license.
