Job Duration: 13 Weeks
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:Perform routine and emergency ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment , ensuring proper calibration and image quality
Verify physician orders and ensure appropriate documentation and patient identification
Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and address any concerns
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review and analyze images
Maintain accurate records in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
Follow all infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality policies
Assist in maintaining supplies and efficient workflow in the imaging department
Provide compassionate care and adhere to CARES values : Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service
ARDMS certification (or registry eligible)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and scanning techniques
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
