A leading financial services organization is seeking a Lead Technical Writer to support their Audit & Exam Management team. This is an urgent, fully remote contract role with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance. The ideal candidate will have deep experience translating highly complex technical, regulatory, or audit-related content into clear, strategic narratives for executive and regulatory audiences.
You will play a critical role in preparing closing packages and written responses for independent risk, audit, and regulatory bodies. This role requires exceptional writing, editing, and stakeholder collaboration skills, as well as comfort working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Translate complex technical data and artifacts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives suitable for closing packages and responses to various stakeholders (including independent risk management, audit, and regulatory bodies).
+ Develop and deliver comprehensive written communications that effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
+ Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in all written materials.
+ Manage multiple, competing priorities, consistently meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
+ Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ Proactively identify and address potential communication challenges.
+ Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations governing banking operations.
+ Serve as a mentor and guide for less senior technical writers.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on complex data and regulatory compliance documentation.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading skills, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
+ Direct regulatory, legal, or audit experience is preferred; deep understanding of banking laws, rules, and regulations.
+ Strong experience in fraud and claims environments (highly preferred).

+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
