Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Pay Rate: $40.00-48.00/hour Location: Glastonbury, CT 06033 Area Code: 860, 413, 203 Shifts: 1st Employment Type: Direct W2 (with full benefits) #supplierqualityengineering #eerospacejobs #AS9110 Job Summary: We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in quality engineering and supplier management. In this role, you will be a key contributor in ensuring supplier compliance with customer quality standards, managing Approved Supplier Lists (ASL), and leading Quality Notifications (QN), Non-Conformances (NC), Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), and First Article Inspection Reviews (FAIR). This role involves collaborating with suppliers to drive quality improvements, conducting audits, and evaluating supplier performance to enhance manufacturing quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans through collaboration and data analysis.
• Conduct supplier quality audits, evaluating process capability, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for corrective action.
• Drive RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) investigations to resolve non-conformances (NCs).
• Manage Quality Notifications (QN) by leading investigations, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Review and evaluate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
• Facilitate the onsite supplier quality process, including audits, documentation review, and inspections.
• Work cross-functionally with shop floor personnel, engineering, procurement, materials, and quality teams to ensure adherence to customer requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Technology Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering, with direct supplier interaction.
• Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%).
• Strong understanding of Quality Notifications (QN), Non-Conformance (NC) management, and RCCA facilitation.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and documentation development.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance standards, including AS9100 and AS9110.
• Hands-on knowledge of machining, assembly, and fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
• Experience with Pratt & Whitney Quality Systems.
• Master's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Technology Engineering.
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills, particularly with Japanese suppliers or teams.
