Self-Driving Car Test Driver – Autonomous Vehicle Data Collection
Location: Sunnyvale & San Francisco, CA (Local Driving Only)
Pay: $28.00/hour | Full-Time | Rolling Contract

About the Role
Applied Intuition, Inc. is partnering with HireArt to accelerate the future of self-driving vehicle technology. We’re hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operators – Data Collection to safely operate test vehicles, capture critical driving data, and support ongoing software development and validation efforts.

This position is ideal for safety-minded professionals who want to contribute directly to autonomous vehicle research, testing, and innovation in a real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate autonomous test vehicles on designated routes (4–8 hours per day).
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure readiness.
  • Collect, monitor, and record driving data using Linux and command line tools.
  • Document and report observations, anomalies, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to provide feedback and improvement suggestions.
  • Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance scheduling, and fleet organization.

Shifts Available

  • Friday–Tuesday or Thursday–Monday
  • AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • PM Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Requirements

  • Professional driving experience and ability to operate vehicles for long periods.
  • Familiarity with Linux/command line tools (required).
  • Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and safety focus.
  • Able to work on-site in both Sunnyvale and San Francisco .
  • Prior AV testing or data collection experience is a plus but not required.
