We are seeking a Scrum Master for a remote role with our client in West Chester, PA. Compensation depends on experience level. Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience in Agile software development for eCommerce solutions is required .
The Scrum Master will lead and optimize Agile practices across multiple engineering and product teams. This role will be responsible for facilitating sprint ceremonies, removing blockers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring teams are working efficiently within Agile frameworks.
As a Scrum Master, you will work closely with remote engineering teams, product designers, and product managers to ensure smooth Agile execution. You will start with one or two teams and expand, owning the Scrum process for each team you take on. This is not a rigid, by-the-book Scrum Master role—you must be adaptable, strategic, and able to improve Agile processes rather than simply enforce them.
If you have experience leading Agile teams in a startup or small, remote-first environment and understand how to balance processes with flexibility, this role is for you.
● Own and facilitate Scrum processes for one to two teams initially, with the potential to expand to additional teams.
● Guide sprint ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
● Remove roadblocks that impede engineering and product teams from delivering high-quality work.
● Optimize Agile workflows, ensuring teams are focused, collaborative, and improving their delivery over time.
● Ensure backlog prioritization is clear and dependencies are managed, partnering with Product Managers to refine workstreams.
● Track team performance metrics (velocity, sprint completion rates, etc.) and provide insights for improvement.
● Utilize Agile tools, including Jira Product Discovery, Jira, Confluence, and Monday.com, to track work and optimize processes.
● Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience in Agile development teams.
● Experience working with remote teams in a fast-paced, startup, or small-company environment.
● Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt them pragmatically rather than enforcing rigid rules.
● Strong facilitation skills, capable of driving productive standups, retros, and planning sessions.
● Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to remove blockers and improve workflows.
● Experience working closely with engineering and product teams, particularly in eCommerce or SaaS environments.
● Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira Product Discovery, Jira, Confluence, and Monday.com.
● A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable mindset, ensuring teams are supported without micromanagement.
● Ideally has experience as a scrum master role within an eCommerce company.
