Sales Engineer

A unique senior-level sales opportunity for a motivated and self-assured professional ready to maximize their potential and earn substantial rewards. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll lead and manage an established U.S. territory, working with distributors, integrators, OEMs, and direct accounts.

Previous success in selling standard or custom conveyor systems in a competitive market is a strong advantage.

Sales Engineer - Conveyor Systems

Responsibilities :
  1. Sales and Business Development :

    • Identify potential clients in various industries (manufacturing, warehousing, logistics) requiring conveyor solutions.
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets, with a focus on growing market share.
    • Manage a sales pipeline, conduct outreach, and follow up on leads to close deals.
  2. Technical Expertise and Solution Design :

    • Assess clients’ specific material handling needs to provide optimal conveyor solutions.
    • Develop custom system proposals, diagrams, and quotations based on site visits, discussions, and client requirements.
    • Work with engineering and product teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of proposed solutions with company capabilities.
  3. Customer Relationship Management :

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact throughout the sales and implementation processes.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting post-installation and address any concerns or additional client needs.
  4. Product Knowledge and Continuous Learning :

    • Stay updated on conveyor system products, features, upgrades, and new technologies.
    • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to maintain a competitive edge and learn about emerging trends in conveyor systems.
  5. Project Coordination and Collaboration :

    • Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure seamless deployment of conveyor systems.
    • Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to manage timelines and budgets effectively.
Requirements :
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical), or a related field.
  • Experience : 3+ years in sales engineering, preferably in conveyor systems or a related material handling industry.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in CAD software, able to read blueprints, and understand industrial automation systems.
  • Sales Skills : Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in meeting sales goals.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical information for non-technical clients.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : Capable of developing solutions for complex operational challenges in diverse environments.
Key Performance Indicators :
  • Sales Target Achievement : Revenue generated against sales goals.
  • Customer Satisfaction : Feedback from clients post-installation.
  • Conversion Rate : Percentage of leads converted into clients.
  • Technical Accuracy : Precision of initial assessments and recommendations.
