As Safety Manager position in Monroe, LA at Garney Construction, you will be responsible for ensuring safety is the number one priority on our water and sewer pipeline projects.
To qualify for this position, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
i. Possess a four-year degree in Engineering, Construction, or Safety from an accredited university, plus a minimum of one year of direct safety oversight experience.
ii. Possess a two-year degree in Engineering, Construction, or Safety from an accredited or industry-recognized technical school, plus a minimum of two years of direct safety oversight experience.
iii. Possess a professional certification in safety from an accredited or industry-recognized certifying body, plus a minimum of two years of direct safety oversight experience. Accepted certifications below:
Accepted Certifications & Additional Requirements:
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s Degree in an EHS discipline
• Construction Safety & Health Technician (CHST)
• Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• Occupational Safety and Health Technologist (OHST)
• Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction (STS-C)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Evidence of having completed a 30-hour construction outreach training course , or its equivalent, within the last 3 years.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of qualified project safety experience on similarly sized projects of a similar type of construction.
• OSHA 30certification within the last 3 years.
