Registered Nurse (RN) - OncologyFT Day or Evening Shifts (8-hour shifts: 7 AM to 3 PM for days, 3 PM to 11 PM for evenings, or 12-hour Day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM). Weekend and holiday requirements will follow departmental guidelines.ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 6E Oncology Unit, working 40 hours. As an oncology nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, fostering connections with patients, families, and colleagues, all guided by our values of love and excellence. Unit6E is a 38-bed inpatient hematology and oncology unit located on the 6th floor of the ChristianaCare Newark campus. This unit provides both scheduled and emergency care and procedures around the clock. It is designed to accommodate 38 patients in need of inpatient care for their diagnoses or symptom management related to their treatments.The scope of services on 6E includes a variety of treatments, such as cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, and medical management of febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, and nausea/vomiting. The patient population in this area consists of both adult and geriatric patients. Their conditions can be classified as either stable or serious.
