Position Overview
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to deliver 1:1 nursing care to students with intensive medical needs in Yonkers, NY. This role ensures consistent, safe, and personalized healthcare during both school hours and transportation, supporting students throughout their school day.

Qualifications
Education:
~ RN: ADN or BSN
~ LPN: Accredited Nursing Diploma
Licensure & Certifications:
~ Active NY RN or LPN License (Required)
~ Current CPR|First Aid Certification
Experience:
~ Pediatric or school-based nursing preferred
~ Experience with medical technologies like trachs, G-tubes, and seizure management (a plus)
Other Requirements:
~ Must pass a background check and NY State fingerprinting
Skills:
~ Technical: Tracheostomy care, suctioning, seizure response, catheterization, and G-tube feedings
~ Soft: Quick thinking, communication with multidisciplinary teams, adaptability, and compassion
Key Responsibilities
In-School Nursing Duties:
~ Provide 1:1 nursing care and daily health monitoring
~ Administer prescribed medications and medical treatments
~ Monitor and document symptoms, vital signs, and student well-being
~ Participate in care planning and IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
~ Perform specialized procedures (e.g., trach care, suctioning, G-tube feedings, catheterization)
Transportation Support:
~ Ride the school bus with the assigned student to|from school
~ Monitor condition and respond to medical needs during transport
~ Coordinate with bus staff, school personnel, and families
Compliance & Documentation:
~ Maintain accurate and confidential health records
~ Submit reports and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA standards
