Key Responsibilities

Conduct clinical reviews, including chart screening and appeal-level reviews
Research and apply regulatory guidance and insurer requirements
Complete electronic worksheets and prepare final determination reports
Serve as a resource for training and technical assistance to clinical and administrative staff
Lead or participate in team huddles and collaborative training sessions
Support continuous improvement in review processes and workflow
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State
BSN or graduate of an approved RN training program
1–3 years of experience in utilization review or appeals
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Team-oriented, problem-solving mindset
Experience in a medical-legal review setting is a plus
