**Overview**
Bowhead is actively recruiting for a Public Realtions Specialist to provide multimedia support for a proposal effort in San Diego, CA.
**Responsibilities**
+ Track, consolidate, and document completion status of required data calls, requests for information, and multimedia presentations for public affairs initiatives and requirements to disseminate relevant information to internal and external audiences, including subordinate organizations, external support organizations, families, reserve personnel, media representatives, other military organizations, the general public, etc.
+ Provide strategic communications recommendation, to develop an increased awareness of LCSRON 1's key messages to internal and external target audiences through use of official media releases, social media postings, cultivation of outreach program opportunities, and various staff presentations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related discipline - such as Audiovisual Communications, Journalism, Photojournalism, Mass Communications, Multimedia Management - from an accredited college or university.
+ Five (5) years of professional experience in a relevant field of mass communications/journalism.
+ A mix of military experience in an Enlisted Surface Warfare rating of Mass Communications Specialist, OR as a Commissioned Officer in the Public Affairs, OR relevant DoD government experience is preferred.
+ Two (2) years experience developing communications process productivity tools.
+ Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Experience within the last five (5) years developing or producing metrics tools and reports.
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level at the time of award. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
