Description The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily food manufacturing operations to ensure production meets company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role supervises production leads and employees, manages labor scheduling, ensures compliance with SOPs, and supports cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
Role And Responsibilities - Oversee daily food manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor kettles, including but not limited to cooking temperatures, timely processing, proper filling, and yield verification.
- Ensure equipment and production areas are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Verify and document monitoring activities as assigned.
- Monitor accumulation of trash in production areas and coordinate timely removal.
- Communicate with managers and supervisors at shift change to ensure continuity.
- Facilitate daily shift huddles.
- Participate in and support annual site training programs.
- Enforce quality, safety, and food safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure proper adherence to all SOPs, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Supervise leads, shift crew and oversee assigned production teams.
- Schedule daily labor assignments across departments to meet production demands.
- Review, approve, and process employee timecards and PTO requests through the Paycom system.
- Administer corrective actions in alignment with company policies.
- Monitor email, MS Teams, and message boards, ensuring timely responses and communication.
- Partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as stated within the policy.
- Follow all safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
- Follow all food safety procedures.
- Follow all environmental protocols as applicable.
- Follow all sanitation procedures and work instructions.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support production and site operations.
Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED - High School diploma or GED required, Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Two to five years of experience in food manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with ERP system is a plus.
- Additional directly related work experience may be substituted for degree.
- Ability to speak and understand conversational Spanish is a plus.
- Must be proficient with MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Outlook.

- Knowledgeable of HACCP policies and guidelines, CCPS, CQPs and SSOPs.

Physical Demands/Efforts
- Work requires occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 75 pounds

Work Environment and Hazards
- Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard.
- This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in significate injury and lengthy loss of time at work.
