Production Operator

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Prepare containers for packaging, including building boxes, pre-labeling bags, and aligning boxes on pallets.
• Perform routine equipment and quality checks such as scale verifications, metal detector inspections, and magnet tests.
• Operate power industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely and efficiently.
• Run packaging equipment including boxing and bagging stations.
• Conduct “Class A” cleanups and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Operate extrusion and compounding feed systems—build batches to product specifications, supply materials to additive feeders, fill and position tote bins, and manage fiber processing equipment.
• Operate extrusion and compounding equipment including extruders, compounders, temperature controllers, sluiceways, quench tanks, pelletizers, cooler-screeners, and product transfer systems.
• Monitor and record raw material usage, production output, and quality data accurately.
• Assist with line changeovers, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance as needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to operate industrial machinery and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
