Summary Our center is growing and we are looking for a Pre-K Classroom Teacher that has a genuine love for working with young children. . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and understand the importance of parent communication. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. We are a nature based program and love to be outdoors, so we are looking for someone who loves exploring the outdoors with us.
Duties - Help the Lead Teacher Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and self-expression.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Requirements - Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments (daycare, toddler care).
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering positive relationships with students.
- First aid certification is preferred but we will provide training if necessary. ; experience in caregiving or special education is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
