We are seeking to hire an experienced Plant Healthcare Supervisor. is dedicated to maintaining the "tree canopy" of the Tulsa metro. The ideal candidate will enjoy working primarily outdoors and will have education or background in environmental studies or a related field. Experience in monitoring, evaluating, and providing healthcare services to trees and shrubs on both commercial and residential properties is required. The Plant Healthcare Sales supervisor will be responsible for the training of and coordination with our Plant Healthcare Technicians, and will also be required to perform sales, set up sales appointments, and provide estimates. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work overtime when needed.
Duties Include: Performing all functions of the integrated pest management program, including site inspections, plant and soil sampling, safe treatment application, record keeping, report writing, and customer relations Performing sales, setting up appointments, and providing estimates Training and management of plant healthcare technicians Tree mapping and data entry Operating and maintaining equipment Working as a member of tree crews during the off-season, as needed Manning trade show booths seasonally, as needed Performs other duties as assigned Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Must possess a valid driver's license Experience in the tree industry or related field Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, conservation, or a related field preferred but not required. Must possess a 3A certification in pesticide application and attend classes for continuing education units yearly. Physical Requirements: Must perform manual labor and occasionally work in adverse weather conditions Must be able to lift and handle the weight of all treatment devices Excellent people skills and verbal/written communication skills. Must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work with a team or independently. Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen, this is a drug free workplace.
