Title: Surgical/Operating Room Tech
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Schedule: Day/Evening shifts
We are seeking experienced Surgical/Operating Room Technologists to join the Downtown Pediatric OR team. Candidates should have a strong background in multiple surgical specialties and the ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity trauma setting.
Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience (within the last 4 years) in an acute care facility of similar level (Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center, teaching hospital, or equivalent size facility in the specialty area — adult or pediatric)
Scrub experience required
Experience across a range of surgical specialties, including:
General surgery
Orthopedics
Neurosurgery
Trauma
Vascular
ENT
Bariatric
GU
GYN
No First Assist duties permitted under New York State regulations
First-time travelers will only be considered if previously experienced in hospitals of comparable size
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Must be able to perform general skills in the acute care operating room setting with minimal orientation and supervision
At least 3 years of operating room experience (required)
Scrub experience (required)
Certification (highly desired)
OB scrub experience (highly desired)
