Brightwild is hiring an Overnight Security Officer to help keep our properties and guests safe, secure, and supported after hours.

This role is essential in ensuring a peaceful, well-managed environment overnight. You’ll be responsible for conducting property patrols, monitoring premises, managing security systems, and responding to incidents or emergencies as needed. But it’s more than just safety — as a key member of our overnight team, you’ll also support guest needs by responding to calls, assisting with requests, and helping deliver the exceptional hospitality experience Brightwild is known for.

You’ll use tools like remote lock systems, digital phone lines, guest messaging platforms, and calendar management apps to stay connected and responsive throughout your shift. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, observant, tech-savvy, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone on property.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the property to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
• Respond to guest inquiries and reports regarding safety and security concerns.
• Inspect property grounds and buildings for any potential hazards or safety issues.
• Conduct thorough incident reports for any occurrences and notify management accordingly.
• Control access to buildings and observe the flow of guests and staff.
• Provide assistance to guests and staff as needed, acting professionally at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, patrols, and incidents.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by security management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make sound decisions and remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with safety procedures, security protocols, and relevant laws/regulations
• Basic computer proficiency for incident reporting and system monitoring
• Comfortable using smartphone applications and digital platforms to perform duties
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least the most recent three years
• Must be fluent in English
• Willingness to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to respond swiftly to on-site emergencies
• Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting guests if needed
• Comfortable conducting outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions
