Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid Onsite)
Duration: 6 months

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team. This role will involve managing, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle databases while ensuring high performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performance tuning, SQL optimization, AWR/ASH reports, and database object management , along with a passion for delivering reliable and scalable database solutions.

As an Oracle DBA , you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the health of our Oracle database environments. You will be responsible for database administration, query optimization, and performance tuning while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support critical applications.

• Perform database and application-level performance tuning to ensure high system efficiency.

• Analyze Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and Active Session History (ASH) reports to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Implement and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, indexes, sequences, and views .

• Optimize SQL queries and analyze execution plans to improve performance and resource utilization.

• Monitor and manage databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) .

• Develop and maintain scripts and procedures for database monitoring, maintenance, and automation.

• Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for database design and tuning.

• Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are properly implemented.

• Maintain version control and release management for database changes.

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during critical production incidents.

• Be flexible to work extended hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.

• 6 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning, SQL optimization, and Oracle AWR/ASH reports .

• Proficient in Oracle database administration , installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Strong understanding of SQL execution plans and Oracle optimizer behavior .

• Experience with source control and release management tools .

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and client interaction skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
