Job Title : Oracle Database Administrator (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL 8+ Years Exp)

Location : Washington, DC (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Task 1: SQL / Oracle Database & Server Support

• Provide administration, support, and maintenance for SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access databases.
• Manage SQL Server clusters and standalone environments.
• Perform server maintenance, software patching, and system updates.
• Assist in development, configuration, and optimization of database systems.

Subtasks Include:

• Daily Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve SQL Server and SQL Cluster issues, including system setups and error triage.
• Request Handling: Respond to Requests for Change (RFCs) and FootPrints service requests related to database maintenance and GBIS systems.
• Database Development: Support users in creating, building, and troubleshooting SQL and Oracle databases.
• Application Support: Address database-related issues impacting applications such as SharePoint or others tied to backend databases.

• 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator across SQL Server, Oracle, and related technologies.
• Proven expertise in MS SQL , SQL Server Clusters , Oracle , MariaDB , MySQL , PostgreSQL , and MS Access .
• Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies .
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases in production environments.
• Experience supporting multi-database environments and assisting users in database design and development.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both database and related application issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
