The Network Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, tasks, goals, and projects for the Network Security Team. This includes leading, managing and developing support staff, and developing department policies and procedures to ensure KPIs are met while maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute staffing and scheduling strategies.
  • Manages and develops department personnel; monitors, evaluates, and coaches individual performance.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of existing technology systems and processes; develops and implements improvement, replacement, augmentation, and optimization strategies as appropriate.
  • Assist with defining standards and designs security related systems; proposes and creates system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.
  • Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions; evaluates risks and performs cost-benefit and return on investment analyses on hardware and software options; proposes and documents justification of the most viable solutions to aid management in making implementation and purchasing decisions.

  • Excellent verbal presentation and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively collaborate with, influence, and convey complex information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
  • Exceptional organizational, process and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced conceptual, innovated thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of IT Security professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Windows operating systems; core banking operations technology; networking and server administration; product implementation; solutions architecture and application systems design and integration.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive information technology experience required.
  • 7+ years of relevant security experience, including work as a network or security engineer, systems engineer, architect or technologist required.

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, OR Technical Certifications in a related field required.

Work Status

  • Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • 2 or more direct reports.

Travel

  • Up to 5% travel expected.

Working Conditions

  • Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
