Job Description

We are seekinga Medical Laboratory Assistan tto join IQVIA's laboratory businessat Valencia, CA.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Join our team to support essential laboratory operations that ensure the integrity and efficiency of specimen processing and storage.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the laboratory team
  • Wash, rinse, dry, distribute, and store laboratory glassware including test tubes, beakers, flasks, and cylinders
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, including disinfecting workbenches, equipment, and materials
  • Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Label tubes and prepare them for analysis
  • Facilitate post-analysis sample storage and banking
  • Assist with inventory management and general lab workstation cleanup
  • Support routine equipment maintenance and lab area organization

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require an Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution)
  • 0-6 months of relevant work experience preferred
  • Basic technical knowledge of laboratory practices, including sterilization, decontamination, and hazardous waste handling
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, infection control procedures, and chemical handling
  • Understanding of laboratory instrumentation, terminology, and workflow management
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
