What You’ll Do You'll be responsible for taking a project from initial concept to final design, ready to hand over to our production team. • Meet with clients in our showroom to explore design goals, style preferences, and functional needs. • Create innovative, customized kitchen and bath layouts using professional design software. • Collaborate with our in-house project team to create bids and finalize pricing. • Create the final contract, order all materials, and track deliveries • Follow up with the client throughout the construction process Key Qualities: We’ve found that the best designers thrive here when they love collaboration, precision, and client interaction. • You enjoy sales, meeting face-to-face with clients, and guiding them through big design decisions. • You like working on projects with strict timelines and high attention to detail. • You love collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to create the best possible result • You love design of all types, whether it be fashion, Architecture, or interior design. Experience and Skills Needed: This is not a role for beginners. We are looking for experienced designers with practical experience and training. • NKBA certification or deep knowledge of NKBA standards. • Proficiency in 2020 design software and/or Chief Architect • Strong space planning skills, interior design training • A deep understanding of cabinetry, fixtures, and finishes. • Excellent communication and client service abilities. • Highly detail-oriented and organized. You will manage 2-4 projects at a time in the design process. You will also visit job sites for periodic review with the project manager and handle change orders or warranty claims. Responsibilities: • Meet with clients in our showroom to discuss project goals, styles, and functional requirements. • Develop creative, customized kitchen and bath designs that align with client preferences and budgets. • Create detailed design presentations, renderings, and material selections. • Collaborate with our project managers to create project schedules, send labor bids, and ensure the project is built as designed. • Stay current with industry trends, products, and best practices. Qualifications: Requirements: • NKBA Certification and/or proven experience in kitchen and bath design. • Proficiency in 2020 design software and Chief Architect. • Excellent communication and client service skills. • Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities.
