Job Description

EHC is currently looking for a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic for a client in south Houston, TX.

Job Summary:

Performs mechanical duties that require maintenance on all equipment. Also, performs welding duties that pertain to the yard repairs.

Job Requirements:

• Able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment, trucks and tractors (PM Service)
• Familiar with Diesel engines and backhoe equipment
• Rebuild machinery equipment
• Use of pneumatic tools
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics
• Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Clean mechanic shop
• Wash equipment
• Assist in moving equipment to and from trucks

Physical Requirements:

• Works outdoors in all climates
• Exposed to loud noise, dusty environment
• Able to climb 40 feet and to stoop, bend or kneel in the review and inspection of plant operations and equipment
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Full mobility of hands
