Golf Course Superintendent
Golf company in Wildwood, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Works to create an environment where staff is involved and enthusiastic with open communications. Places safety as a value and is responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture in the company.
Responsibilities include:
• Turfgrass maintenance programs.
• Personnel management.
• Budget and forecasting.
• Financial management.
• Scheduling and maintenance of the irrigation system.
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Record keeping and compliance of regulatory issues.
• Responsible for all phases of golf maintenance and agronomic operations, profit and loss of the business unit, and personnel for specified golf courses.
• Works closely with, advises, and coordinates with the director of golf operations, director of operations, and manager of the company.
• Works closely with, advises, and coordinates with the facility managers and golf professionals for specified golf courses.
• Must be able to set the tone and establish a safe work culture for all employees.
• Must be able to work independently and be a self-starting problem solver.
Requirements:
Must have or acquire state pesticide license within 90 days.
Associates Degree in Turf Management or comparable experience.
Compensation:
$100,000 per year.
