An international Distributor of Printing and Packaging Machinery is looking for a field service engineer to be based in the Midwest and handle regional and some national travel. The service technician will work from their home and travel to converting, printing and packaging plants. You should be living no more than 30 to 40 minutes from a major international airport. You will be responsible for installations, repairs and preventive maintenance on their European lines. You need to have solid electrical skills. Understanding and experience in controls, motors, PLCs and HMIs is required. Total travel is expected to be over 50% with some overnights and weekend work. Salary ranges from $65k to $85k and they do offer a benefit package. Ideal candidates will have prior field service or maintenance experience on converting, printing or packaging machinery.
