Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a skilled Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at the University at Albany in Albany, NY . This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing food production, cost control, and team development across two busy dining operations serving over 2,000 meals daily.

Located on the University at Albany campus, the Executive Chef 2 will manage day-to-day culinary operations with a strong focus on ordering, inventory management, food costing, and ensuring compliance with Sodexo’s quality and safety standards. This role will also collaborate closely with the Campus Executive Chef to elevate training, culinary execution, and staff development across the team.

What You'll Do


  • Lead food production across two high-volume dining operations, serving 2,000+ meals daily
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost controls to meet financial goals
  • Partner with the Campus Chef to enhance staff training and culinary expertise
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-trend food with a focus on consistency and innovation
  • Support menu planning, recipe development, and production systems
  • Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team environment and uphold Sodexo’s culinary and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
