Pay Rate - $18.00 - $21.25 per hour

 

Position Overview

This role is part of a collaborative team where each member specializes in a different area of focus. As the  Events & Campus Engagement Coordinator , you will play a key role in connecting the store with the University of Florida community by planning, executing, and optimizing marketing initiatives and campus events that bring the brand to life. 
This position also assists customers and suggests the selection of products based on knowledge of current products, familiarity with offerings, and customer interactions. Demonstrates strong knowledge of Follett systems and strategies (Included Program, Academic Tools, System Integrations, etc.), the industry, and the competitive landscape to execute initiatives, drive profitable sales, and control expenses. Effectively executes company programs and initiatives. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Partners with various support partners, including Store Operations, RCMS, AP, HR, and Training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute local marketing campaigns in collaboration with campus partners and corporate marketing teams to drive traffic and sales.
  • Plan and coordinate in-store and on-campus events, pop-ups, and activations that engage the UF community and elevate the brand experience.
  • Partner with the Visual Merchandiser to design visually impactful and cohesive event setups aligned with current product and promotional focuses.
  • Build and maintain relationships with student organizations, campus departments, and local influencers to support marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Support major university events (e.g., orientation, game days, graduation) with tailored store activations and marketing strategies to drive sales and foot traffic to store or pop up locations.
  • Monitor marketing and event performance, gathering insights to optimize future initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with store operations and merchandising teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing and event plans.
  • Supervises the employees of the department, including assigning and evaluating work as well as interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
  • Partners to create and maintain a Hassle Free customer service culture, focused on solutions-based selling and an exceptional customer experience.
  • May manage the store in the store manager's absence or occasionally supervise other departments.
  • May open or close the store.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of retail supervisory experience; computer literacy.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience is required.
  • General computer skills.
