Role Overview:
In this role you will be a part of the Site Assessment & Management (SAM) Team. You will exercise due diligence using various tools and resources (ArcGIS, Phase I/II ESAs, Red Flag Investigations) to assess, analyze, and manage risk. These risks are directly related to worker safety, human health, environmental health, liability, cost, and maintaining project schedules.
The SAM team develops guidance and manuals to achieve consistent, high-quality documents and streamline review. Other activities include developing procedures and documentation for complying with state (SEPA) and federal (NEPA) requirements through use of our manual and guidance documents, collaborating with other INDOT divisions (e.g. real estate, design, asset management, ROW permits, maintenance) about environmental investigations, hazardous materials guidance and support, site conditions, and solutions to site related problems, and vetting and assisting with selecting available GIS data sources to meet program needs.

This position is located INDOT's Central Office, Indianapolis Environmental Services.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
