Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Networked Information Systems, Engineering and Sciences is seeking an Engineering Director to lead the Cyber and Information Solutions, C&IS, Business Executing Engineering position, reporting to the Senior Director of the Business Execution Engineering organization. This position can be based in Annapolis Junction, Cincinnati, or Sacramento. As the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for leading a highly dynamic, growing multi-discipline engineering team of approximately 150 senior technical leaders and be the primary E&S POC for the C&IS Business Unit leadership team. **What You'll get to Do:** + Primary E&S POC for Business Unit leadership + Drive technical issues on BU programs, captures, IR&D, etc. to closure by providing coaching, mentoring and leadership to broader technical team + Ensure the business is appropriately staffed and enable resource sharing across multiple business areas + Lead strategic actions to improve the business of engineering + Work with cross discipline engineering team members across the Sector + Develop technical leaders (e.g. CE, SEIT Lead, IPT leads, etc.) to ensure business success + Support development of technical discriminators for priority BU captures and pursuits + Hold technical leaders accountable to execute per defined engineering processes and best practices + Collaborate with other functional partners to resolve complex issues in a timely manner to help meet program commitments + Regular travel, based on business needs to the various sites where C&IS has presence This position is contingent upon Clearance. This position will be on site in either Annapolis Junction, Cincinnati, or Sacramento. **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields with 12 years of experience; Master's degree with 10 years of experience; PhD with 8 years of experience - 8 years of professional experience in the defense or aerospace industries - 5 years demonstrated success managing multiple technical teams across multiple geographic sites - 5 years previous experience working in a technical role with experience across multiple program phases - Prior profit and loss leadership experience (e.g. PM, OUD, IPT with >$50M workscope, etc.) - Demonstrated experience executing the capture phase of the program lifecycle - Demonstrated experience effectively leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations - Demonstrated knowledge of engineering process and tailoring **- Clearance:** Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance - Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance **Preferred Qualifications:** - Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields - Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance or higher. - Success as a leader of an organization >~300 employees - Experience with product line management - Experience executing the capture phase of the program lifecycle - Proven success in creating and executing affordability initiatives - Independent Review Team leadership with cross discipline stakeholders Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $296,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
