Job Description

Summary
Detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Drafter. In this role, you will assist in preparing layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-specific software, in compliance with standards and local codes. Duties And Responsibilities
Assist senior designers and project managers with the preparation of submittal drawings
Update and revise drawings as needed throughout the design and construction process
Coordinate with other trades and design disciplines
Prepare material takeoffs and assist in creating stock lists
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Attend project meetings as needed (virtual or in-person)
Reliable and predictable attendance is required for the function of this job*

Education, Experience, Knowledge
AutoCAD experience/Drafting Experience
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
Completion of or enrollment in a drafting, engineering, or CAD-related technical program is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD required, experience with Revit a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Eagerness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry
Physical Requirements
Sitting: Sits at the desk for the majority of the day.

Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous documents.
Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
Vision: Read computer screens and paperwork.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
Standing: Remains in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
Talking: Communicating effectively by phone and in person.
Walking and moving about on foot.
