Data Governance Leader, Enterprise Data Program

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Leader for our Enterprise Data Program. This pivotal role will ensure that our data assets are managed with integrity and optimized to drive business insights and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and managing effective data governance councils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance across the enterprise.
* Lead cross-functional data governance committees, establishing clear policies, standards, and procedures.
* Collaborate with business units and IT to manage data governance tools, processes, and controls.
* Oversee data stewardship and establish clear accountability for data ownership and management.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data management capabilities and support business objectives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role, with a strong leadership background.
* Demonstrated success in building and managing effective data governance councils.
* Expertise in data governance tools and best practices (e.g., metadata management, data cataloging).
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
