Counseling Treatment Services
Position: 1 full-time Counselor Position

Duties: Counselor will provide evidence-based outpatient treatment services to adult men and/or women with substance use or co-ocurring disorders with a focus on providing services to indiviuals with an opioid use disorder. Counselor will be responsible for client caseloads, screenings and assessments, individual and group counseling sessions, documentation of client progress and particiapation, treatment plans and review, coordination of service, case management and discharge planning. Program Director and treatment team staff work closely and collaboratively to provide the best quality service for all individuals seeking services.

As part of the clinical treatment team, counselors will receive ongoing supervision, training and consultation in the delivery of services within a strength-based supportive environment. If LPC-A, SCAN provides free supervision and offers all program counselors the opportunity to expand and grow within the agency's multiple comprehensive programs, If LCDC-I, SCAN is an HHSC approved Clinical Training Institute registered site to provide Supervised Work Experience hours to Counselor Interns and supports professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, master’s degree preferred.
• Have and LCDC License, LCDC-I, LPC or LPC-A.
• Be bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Good computer skills.
• Valid TX driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation.

• Salary range: $39,000 to $52,000 yearly depending on experience and qualifications.
