The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple’s innovative products, including the HomePod, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and AppleTV. AMT's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various technologies like FaceTime, Camera, AirPlay, Spatial Audio, Siri, Phone Calls and Music playback

Description

As a member of the Audio HAL team, you will be on the front lines solving problems, helping build out new features and capabilities, and supporting the developer-facing APIs for both applications and drivers. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the quality of the audio experience for our customers and our developers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems concepts
• Excellent software design/programming skills in C++, Objective C and Swift
• Experience with digital audio
• Strong debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or EE, Equivalent industry experience.
• Past Experience with Hardware Bringup

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
