About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• The role is a strategic position where the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Marketing to prepare all necessary documentations and ensure that the materials produced are aligned with the company's tactical needs and goals.
• Comfortable appearing on camera for internal and external video content
• Proactively identifies, researches, and pursues compelling stories aligned with company goals
• Conducts interviews with subject matter experts, employees, and stakeholders to gather insights
• Performs in-depth research to support storytelling and content development
• Films and edits video content using industry-standard software such as: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
• Collaborates with the marketing and communications team to produce engaging multimedia content
• Maintains high standards of journalistic integrity and storytelling
• Meets tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience writing newsletters, press releases and executive communications is necessary. A history of pitching stories to reporters is desired, but not necessary.
• Coordinates the creation and production of marketing communications.
• Writes creative content for various outlets within the marketing team.
• Assists the department as needed with the development of effective benchmarks to measure and evaluate the impact of social media marketing campaigns.
• Conducts in-depth research on industry-related topics.
• Proofreads content for errors and inconsistencies.
• Edits and polishes existing content to improve readability.
• Prints and broadcasts Journalism writing.
• Writes blogs and Executive Communications on behalf of company and President.
• Complies with strict and tight deadlines.

Work Schedule

New York Office 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.   

Education & Experience

• Bachelors’ degree or higher in either, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or a related field from an accredited institution
• 2-4 years of experience in either the Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism fields
• Knowledge of marketing and public relations

Salary

$70,000-$75,000 annually based on education and experience level.
