Job Description

Chief Veterinary Officer

Our client is a pet wellness service company dedicated to partnering veterinary services with leading pet daycare, boarding, grooming, and training businesses and elevating the standard of care for all pets.

Through partnering with industry-leading brands, the mission is to provide quality care for pets and a vibrant community for pet parents.

The company aspires to be the premium provider of tech-enabled pet services across the full breadth of care, and a trusted extension of the pet family. The company is passionate about providing pet parents with access to the highest quality care and services available for their beloved companions. The organization believes that pets are an integral part of the family and deserve nothing but the best. Our client's network consists of experienced professionals who have a deep understanding of the pet care industry. The business works closely with partner businesses to share best practices and network with industry experts.

The people are fun and connected. The business offers preventative wellness.

The Chief Veterinary Officer will focus on strategy, determining pricing, and will need to recruit talent. The business has 8 locations and is going to 20 in a short timeframe with the goal to get to 120-150 locations.

The Chief Veterinary Officer will build the strategy for the business and will determine how to integrate wellness, into daycare, boarding and training.

Qualifications include a veterinarian who understands business logic, has exemplary character, high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, ability to make data driven decisions and can run a business at scale. We are looking for an "out of the box" thinker who will not build a "me too" company but will be foundational in building something unique. We are looking for a confident decision maker with industry expertise with experience building something who understands the challenges with scaling. We are looking for someone who has done it before who has the desire to do it again, but also someone who has the energy and stamina to do it again. We need someone who will think differently on how veterinary services are delivered, someone who is looking to create something unique and different, not recreate the same thing. This is a chance to be creative.
