Duchesne High School a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith-based education, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Girls Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will model Christian values, demonstrate strong leadership, and foster athletic excellence and personal growth in student-athletes.
Plan, organize, and supervise practices and games for the girls' volleyball team.
Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball skills in a safe, encouraging environment.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and school spirit.
Foster the spiritual, moral, and personal development of student-athletes in alignment with Catholic teachings.
Ensure student-athletes meet academic and behavioral eligibility requirements.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, equipment needs, and program goals.
Communicate regularly with players, parents, school staff, and administrators.
Maintain safety, order, and discipline during all practices, games, and travel.
Uphold school and league policies, as well as Catholic values and standards of conduct.
Prior coaching experience in volleyball (school or club level preferred).
Strong knowledge of the game, including rules, strategies, and player development.
Ability to model and promote Catholic values and character education.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass background check and fulfill all diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
[Optional:] Bachelor’s degree or teaching certification preferred.
