Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Novato, California, this role requires someone with strong attention to detail to handle key accounting tasks and support multiple client projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general accounting principles and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. - Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy. - Generate detailed financial reports and analyze data to support business decisions. - Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage client accounts and ensure seamless bookkeeping processes. - Process payroll entries and allocate expenses appropriately across client accounts. - Organize and classify financial documents, ensuring proper scanning and filing procedures. - Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, with a focus on prioritization and efficiency. - Analyze and categorize financial transactions accurately, adhering to accounting standards. - Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, V-lookups, and filters, to interpret data effectively. - Collaborate with the team and clients to address accounting inquiries and provide timely resolutions. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. - Strong skills in Excel functions such as pivot tables, V-lookups, and filters. - Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes. - Ability to handle multiple projects and entities with attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent organizational skills to manage financial documents and records effectively. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently. - Self-motivated and capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment.
