Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in New Albany, Ohio is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic practices. This includes ensuring excellent playing conditions, managing personnel, and coordinating resources effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all golf course maintenance activities.
• Train, schedule, and manage the maintenance team, ensuring efficient operation.
• Assist with the irrigation systems, pesticide applications, and water management.
• Conduct routine inspections of the golf course to maintain optimal turf health.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental and safety standards.
• Support the superintendent in budgeting, purchasing, and record-keeping.
Requirements:
Enrollment in or completion of a program in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required.
A strong desire to build a career in golf course management.
Willingness to obtain necessary certification, such as pesticide applicator license.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
Compensation:
$54,000 – $56,000 per year.
Enrollment in or completion of a program in turfgrass management, agronomy, or a related field.
Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required.
A strong desire to build a career in golf course management.
Willingness to obtain necessary certification, such as pesticide applicator license.
