**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** Join our team as an Assembler on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime during the week and occasionally on weekends. **Responsibilities** + Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. + Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. + Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. + Verify specifications by measuring completed component. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Use small hand and power tools. **Essential Skills** + Experience with assembly, hand tools, and power tools. + Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools. + Experience with pipe fitting, pipe cutting, and irrigation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic math skills. + Ability to speak, read, and write basic English. + Excellent attendance record. + Ability to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach. + Ability to stand for an entire eight-hour shift. + Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel-toe shoes. + Willing to perform other duties as assigned. + Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting is preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** Create career growth and rotational opportunities within various areas of the organization. Training will be provided to candidates who show a strong aptitude to learn and have the proper attitude. The role involves standing for the entire shift, frequently lifting 3-25 pounds, and occasionally lifting 25-50 pounds. The dress code includes wearing PPE such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel-toe shoes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Luis Obispo, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
